Involved in all aspects of construction and development. Began as a superintendent/foreman, then project manager on a number of projects including: 20 unit single family home project; 12 unit single family home project; 20 unit condo project; 40 unit senior citizen project; retail/office projects. Coordinated subdivision/site plan approval processes for several of these projects before both planning/zoning boards. Subsequently formed an independent contracting/development company. Also served as a land use/real estate attorney specializing in land use litigation and Mount Laurel matters.
Fifteen (15) years of experience as a Dispute Resolution specialist. Handles cases ranging from construction to real property to tenancy to complex commercial transactions. Manages a caseload of matters with multiple issues and parties. Also has extensive experience in insurance, employment and consumer cases. Has mediated over 400 cases.

Extensive experience in multi-party cases. Handled several hundred mediations involving at least three, up to nine, parties and attorneys. Settled many of these matters to the satisfaction of the varying interests.

As a former owner of a general contracting firm, has dealt with a wide variety of ADR situations. Handled first hand negotiations and disputes with Owner/Client representatives, subcontractors, suppliers, architects and engineers. Involved in dispute resolution practices/methods, including mediation and arbitration, as a business owner.

Represented parties in mediations in hundreds of state program foreclosure matters.

Resolved a major contract dispute on a million-dollar project. The conflict had reached an impasse between all parties involved. An attorney was hired to resolve the matter on behalf of the general contractor. When negotiations broke down, assumed the role of mediator. Within a few months, on a matter that had been ongoing for a few years, was able to resolve the matter.

Similarly resolved a matter on a multi-million dollar project. A resolution among numerous parties was reached in an expeditious manner.

Experienced in resolution of commercial contracts and contractor-subcontractor disputes, including, but not limited to: contract, agenda, and change order payment issues; workmanship quality; professional responsibility regarding engineers, architects, and consultants; and, contractual compliance. Experienced in insurance disputes, including, but not limited to: coverage applicability; E&O policies; adjuster valuation; subrogation matters; exclusion clause applicability; concurrent causation; and, comparative negligence issues.

Experienced in employment and labor issues, including, but not limited to: applicability of state/federal regulations; mitigation of damages; potential for treble damages and effect on case evaluation; preventative practices/investigation by employer.
