Over 35 years as a litigating lawyer, first primarily on the plaintiff side, and later, while a partner, mostly on the defense side. Substantive areas of practice include construction, commercial, professional negligence, property damage, fire, explosion, water damage, premises, vehicular, personal injury, insurance disputes, and employment litigation. Participated in dozens of trials, and numerous mediations, and arbitrations.
Mediated matters in all of the substantive areas of practice listed above. Many have been multi-party matters, including complex construction and fire damage matters with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals, in various combinations, at the table.
Generally evaluative, but adapted to the requirements of the circumstances and personalities of counsel and parties. Strives to connect with and understand the participants.
