I have practiced primarily in areas of construction law, lien and bonds, construction defects, real estate, employment, and business disputes.

My ADR practice includes virtually all construction and real estate related matters, including mechanic's lien claims, payment and contract disputes, and construction defect litigation. Real estate issues include mortgage foreclosures, property disputes, partition actions, development projects gone bad, and the always challenging boundary line disputes. I am in increasing demand on probate challenges and the dirty business of helping the kids resolve, or attempt to resolve, fights over mom and dad's money after they are gone. In short, probate fights. I also preside over a wide variety of insurance and claim valuations, insurance coverage issues, and appraisal hearings. I am also well capable of handling a wide variety of other personal, business, commercial, and employment-related disputes. I especially excel in the particularly tough cases where combatants need a dose of reality that can be best delivered by
someone who was raised down by the river.

I was raised in a small river town at a time when bullies and conflict were commonplace. As such, I learned early on the tremendous value of resolving disputes through reason rather than by rumble. Using carefully blended doses of reality, wisdom, knowledge, and wit, I work hard as a mediator to make certain that parties who find themselves in the legal system do not end up twisting through the expensive uncertainties of trial. I help them realize the supreme value of controlling their outcomes. Perhaps most importantly, I am not afraid to deliver the all important dose of "The Cold Hard Truth" to participants.
