Over 17 years with the Circuit Court of Jackson County in Kansas City, Missouri. Regularly conducted settlement conferences and mediations for attorneys and fellow judges in cases set for trial in the Circuit Court of Jackson County.
Mediated cases involving medical; legal; dental; engineering and architectural malpractice; building and construction law; products liability; intellectual property; car wrecks; insurance and bad faith; employment cases; complex business disputes; contract disputes; real estate disputes; class actions and high asset domestic cases.
The mediation philosophy adhered to, and the goals for the mediation experience, extend beyond merely achieving a resolution of the case. Disputes are also about emotion. Mediation results should please clients and clients should leave the mediation with an enhanced regard for their attorneys. Parties must feel as if they had their say, feel as if they were listened to and feel as if they mediated their issues on a level playing field and that ultimately they were not only satisfied with their personal result but that they also felt the process was fair.
