Acted as mediator in numerous (approximately 30) cases, and participated in hundreds of mediations as counsel, with special experience in financial services disputes. Mediated many securities cases involving claims against broker-dealers, and also mediated numerous disputes involving restrictive covenants in the financial services and insurance industries. Also mediated a number claims involving alleged discrimination and sexual harassment in various industries. Further mediated several disputes involving alleged trademark infringement in the beverage and plastics industries as well as corporate and banking shareholder disputes. Each of these disputes involved substantial damages claims.
Mediated many different types of disputes, especially securities, employment and restrictive covenant cases. Mediated substantial claims against banks and other financial services firms, as well as insurance companies. Also mediated substantial trademark infringement cases in the beverage and plastics industries as well as banking and corporate shareholder disputes. Each of these disputes involved substantial damages claims.
Approach each and every mediation very seriously. Request confidential mediation statements and prepare very thoroughly. View myself as a facilitator, but when necessary also as an experienced case evaluator who can effectively communicate relative risks and rewards of further litigation.
