MEERA RAJAH is a triple-qualified lawyer (New York, England & Wales, and Singapore), focusing her practice on international arbitration and cross-border disputes. She represents clients in various investor-state and commercial arbitrations and has experience in proceedings conducted under the ICSID, ICC, SIAC, UNCITRAL, and ICDR Rules. Meera also has previous experience appearing before the Singapore courts and advising on issues of Singapore law.

Prior to joining Sidley, Meera worked at one of Singapore’s largest law firms, with a practice focused on domestic commercial litigation, before serving as an international arbitration law clerk on several ICC and SIAC arbitrations. While practicing in Singapore, she taught as adjunct faculty at the Singapore Management University (SMU). Meera is published in both peer-reviewed and practitioner journals, including the American Review of International Arbitration, the International Journal of Human Rights, and the International Journal of Evidence & Proof. She is also currently an assistant editor of the Singapore Arbitration Journal (SIArb Journal).

Meera received an LL.M. from Columbia Law School, where she was a James Kent Scholar, a recipient of Dean’s Honors and a Parker School Recognition of Achievement in International and Comparative Law, and an editor of the American Review of International Arbitration and the Yearbook on International Investment Law & Policy. Prior to Columbia Law School, she received an LL.B. from University College London in 2014, where she was the recipient of the Blackstone Chambers Commercial Law Prize, the John Frederic Whitehouse Essay Award, and the Bentham Prize for High Achievement. Meera also represented the university in several inter-university moots, which she won.

Meera is currently a Council Member of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb) and the co-chair of the SIArb Young Practitioners Network. She is a Fellow of the SIArb (FSIArb) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb).

Meera is also accredited as a mediator by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) and the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC). She has been appointed to the Singapore Law Society Mediation Scheme (LSMS) Panel of Mediators as an Associate Mediator.

Meera is bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.
