Has 30 years' experience as an attorney, arbitrator and mediator in construction and commercial matters. For the last 25 years, has served as the head and owner of a legal/consulting firm specializing in construction and engineering contract law, arbitration, mediation, claims development and negotiation, resolution of business and partnership issues, estate planning, trusts, and tax matters.

Serves as an American Society of Civil Engineers National Continuing Education Program Seminar Instructor on contract law, professional ethics, fair contracting methods, liability issues, mediation and arbitration, practical methods for avoiding problems, and the legal process.

Formerly Adjunct Professor, Rutgers Business School, and Adjunct Professor, Stevens Institute of Technology Graduate School of Construction Management.
Since 1989, has mediated hundreds of construction, commercial, engineering, partnership, financial, consumer, real estate, homebuilding, insurance, and surety matters for the American Arbitration Association as a member of their National Construction Industry and Commercial Panels. Has acted as counsel resolving hundreds of construction and commercial disputes for clients through negotiated settlements, mediation and arbitration. Also serves as a court-approved mediator for the New Jersey Superior Courts.

Cases have involved bridge, tunnel, highway, commercial, institutional, school, residential, condominium, marine, environmental, sewage treatment, landfill, power and industrial projects, in both the public and private sectors, ranging in value up to $50 million. Also financial, partnership, insurance, contract, surety and consumer matters.
Issues include breach of contract, differing site conditions, defective plans and specifications, design changes, extra work claims, delays, acceleration, disruption and interference, lost productivity and inefficiencies, geotechnical issues, changed conditions, wrongful termination, and performance bond claims.

Also has extensive experience with consumer, partnership, contract, surety and insurance disputes.
My philosophy is to treat all participants with fairness and respect, to give all parties an opportunity to be fully heard, and to do my best to help the parties reach a fair and reasonable settlement.
