Serves as a mediator and private arbitrator on a regular basis in all types of civil litigation matters, which consumes about 30 percent of time. Has provided alternative dispute resolution services for approximately 10 years. Has handled approximately 150 mediations and/or arbitrations annually in a wide range of civil litigation areas including, torts, construction and contract disputes, medical malpractice and real estate claims. Maintains a regular trial practice in the area of business disputes and professional malpractice/tort areas.
Has mediated cases since the late 1990's, state certified mediator since 2005. Disputes have involved automotive, commercial, corporate, construction, contract disputes, eminent domain, employment, environmental, health care, insurance, libel and slander, medical malpractice, negligence, nursing homes, personal injury, police, product liability, professional fees, real estate, Title VII, torts, transportation, workers compensation, workplace, and wrongful death.
Parties should be prepared for mediation with a strategy or idea of where they can go and how they can settle. I am proactive in my dealings with parties and attorneys while always striving to maintain my neutrality.
