My role in mediation sessions is to assist in the voluntary resolution of disputes. I help the litigants make an informed decision by listening, empathizing, clarifying, and summarizing. I explore the strengths and weaknesses of the positions and provide insights as requested. Prior to the virtual or in-person mediation session, I invite the litigants to submit confidential statements and any other information they believe would assist me in understanding the issues. The mediation session consists of private sessions with each party and attorney.
